Agility Platform certified with OpenStack (Juno and Kilo)

OpenStack certification CSC Blogs

The CSC Agility Platform version 10.1.1 has been certified with OpenStack, specifically with the Juno and Kilo releases.  OpenStack has been a supported integration for awhile, but as with any product we integrate with, there are regular releases, and the Agility Platform must re-certify each version so our customers can use the two products together.

With the Agility Platform OpenStack 4.1 Adapter, we bring you two new great features. The first is that the Adapter now has support for Ceph-backed instance. This is an important supported feature and in turn will allow our customers to use a distributed and high performing storage.

The second feature is for implementations where you have multiple OpenStack Providers configured, and there is a need to use a common Operating System image across all of the Providers instead of having multiple copies of the same image per provider.   The updated adapter will now allow a single OS image to be shared across multiple OpenStack Providers and in turn reduce ongoing maintenance.

Customers who have the Agility Platform installed within their own Data Center(s) can upgrade to the newest version of Agility and/or updated adapters. Please refer to the documentation to review which versions of the Agility Platform the Adapters have been certified against; an upgrade of Agility may be required.

For customers using CSC managed Cloud offerings, such as BizCloud or CSC Hybrid Cloud, please discuss with your account representative since those CSC Offerings follow a separate schedule for updating the platform, as well as the unique services they provide.
